Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Docmint. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are using Docmint on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Your account

Some features require a Docmint account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@docmint.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Docmint only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the service to process files that infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature or usage limit of the service.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the service in a manner that burdens our infrastructure or exceeds your plan limits.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any server-side component of the service.
• Use the service to distribute malware, spam, or any content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive.

4. Free and paid plans

Docmint offers a free tier with usage limits and one or more paid subscription plans. Specific limits and features for each plan are described on our pricing page and may change from time to time with reasonable notice.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payments are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as described in our refund policy. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period.

5. Intellectual property

Docmint and its underlying software, design, and content are owned by Mint Tools and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.

You retain full ownership of any files you process using Docmint. We claim no rights over the documents you upload or the output files you produce.

6. Privacy

Your use of Docmint is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Disclaimers

Docmint is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. You use Docmint at your own risk. Always keep backups of important files.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mint Tools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD $10.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or if we believe your use poses a risk to the service or other users. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the site at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Docmint after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mint Tools is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
